Alicia is a 200+ hr E-RYT, YACEP, Sound Healing & Usui Reiki 2 practitioner, Artist and Writer based in Las Vegas, NV. “I bring an authentic approach to healing that combines the realness of being human with the divinity of being Spirit. I grew up with a very chaotic childhood and experienced quite a bit of trauma at a young age. My parents fought excessively, divorced at age 5, I was sexually assaulted by one of my family members, experienced religious trauma, and had a parent with an alcohol abuse issue. It all led me down a very destructive path as a teen, to where I was using hard drugs at age 15 and self-harming. I completely denounced anything spiritual and opened myself up to abusive relationships, and I was abusive as well. I thought I had no way out, no other choice, until I had a near-death experience at age 19 that reaffirmed my belief in a higher power. That was my initial "spiritual awakening" led me down a path of inner development and discovery. Around the same time is when I found yoga, and first went to it as a physical activity to soon realize the deeper affects it had on my body, mind, soul, and emotions. Yoga opened the door for me to find and experience many other modalities including sound healing, reiki, breath work, somatic healing, shamanism and plant medicine. And now it's my mission to share the tools that I've learned that have helped me along my path with others so they to can grow from their past, instead of letting it define them. Things happen, it doesn't mean that's who we are or who we'll be forever, there's always a chance to change. We are all really just traumatized children walking around as adults, and one of the secrets to healing is to go back to what brought us joy as a child and bring it into adulthood. That's been huge in my transformation from a traumatized teen to an empowered adult, and I want to help you along yours too. My goal is that by sharing my stories, I may be able to help someone going through something similar that may need someone to relate to. I believe we’re always students and we’re always teachers, no one is perfect and we’re in this together. The main thing I want people to remember is their power to heal themselves. I may be a facilitator; YOU are the healer. Each one of us changes our own lives, that’s something no one can do for us. I’m just here to give support along the way like others have done for me.”
